Cannabidiol (CBD) is a metabolite of Cannabis sativa
It has relaxing, anticonvulsant, antidistonic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory effects, promotes sleep and is soothing against anxiety and panic. It has also been shown to reduce intraocular pressure and is a promising atypical antipsychotic.
CBD is the acronym for cannabidiol, a metabolite of the most famous Cannabis
of which it is the second most abundant substance, after THC. Unlike this, however, CBD is not psychoactive, does not create addiction and has remarkable relaxing, anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving abilities, so much so that it arouses increasing interest from the scientific community. Thanks to its therapeutic potential, it is used for the treatment of various problems and is the substance we refer to when we talk about “therapeutic cannabis”.
